How can you think of one more chair? All of them have something in common, their essence, “the chairness”. This is the idea that, in the words of Alberto Lievore, hides behind the RDL collection, a concept of a universal chair that has been refined to the maximum, which celebrates its 30th anniversary and is loved more than ever today.
Made only with solid oak wood and a thin curved sheet that shapes the seat. Without any hardware, screws or accessories. A sustainable, unique and timeless design, which over time has given rise to a family of seats, born from its iconic design.
At Fuse, we live by three tenants: Beauty, Honesty and Sustainability. Everything we do is examined and evaluated through the lens of these three principals. The Beauty catches our eye, the Honesty draws us in and makes us look closer, and the Sustainability causes us to fall in love. Our manufacturer and design partners are amazing examples of what it means to care for our earth. When the design process of a chair begins with a carefully nurtured and managed forest and ends with a beautiful chair that will last a lifetime, that is the epitome of Beauty, Honesty and Sustainability.
This care is further demonstrated by partners who choose to produce their designs from recycled aluminum and polymers and plant based fabrics and wallcoverings. Plastic that pollutes our oceans is now pulled out, processed and used to create beautiful furniture. All of this takes place in factories that produce zero waste using the excess material to create new products and heat their buildings. These buildings are often strategically located near raw materials to reduce the carbon footprint of shipping.
From the beginning, it has been our intention at Fuse to introduce products that are timeless in design and admired over a lifetime. We believe every day is Earth Day.
